If this was in a gallery it would be called installation art, it would only be seen by a handful of people and it would be taken far too seriously. However, left on the side of the road at a major intersection it is much more powerful (and of course more accessible). One person’s old mattress, silly sense of humour, imagination and most importantly, motivation, is providing hundreds who drive and walk by with a little chuckle along with a positive message. That’s real art if you ask me.
